What if hospital pharmacies could automate the bar-coding, packaging, storage and dispensing of unit doses? Innovative automated drug management systems are making it possible for hospitals to do just that.

Swisslog booth #600 will be giving presentations on the latest advancements in pharmacy automation at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition held December 2-6, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The PickRing is a 24-hour supply of bar-coded medications on a flexible ring, and it can be transported to nursing units in cassette drawers, carts, or by pneumatic tube systems. Custom configurable PickRings can be created per patient, for routine cart fill or as part of ongoing medicine cabinet replenishment.
