The printed Reference Work Mass Spectral and GC Data of Drugs, Poisons, Pesticides, Pollutants and Their Metabolites, published by Wiley-VCH, has been on the market for more than 20 years. The Third Edition was published in spring 2007 and contains 7840 data sets, among which 1900 data sets have been revised or added. Over 3300 data sets are from metabolites, over 2300 from acetylated, over 1000 from methylated, over 700 from trimethylsilylated, over 400 from trifluoroacetylated, over 200 each from pentafluoropropionylated or heptafluorobutyrylated compounds.

Since October 2007 Wiley-VCH HAS also distributeD the corresponding electronic library as part of a set of the two print volumes and a CD-ROM. This high quality searchable library is a well known reference work available in the formats of most instrument vendors. It is an indispensable tool in Clinical and Forensic Toxicology, Clinical Chemistry, Doping Control, Criminal Investigation, Environmental Chemistry, and Spectroscopy.

Reinhard Neudert, Director of new Business Development at Wiley-VCH says, "Wiley-VCH is pleased to offer now not only the printed version of this well known reference work to their customers, but in addition the searchable electronic library. The book and the electronic library stored as searchable mass spectrometer database are essential tools in clinical mass spectrometry and many related areas"

Hans H. Maurer, Professor and Head of the Department of Experimental and Clinical Toxicology, Saarland University, adds "We are happy to continue our scientific work with such success and look forward to publish the next edition in appropriate time. We thank all our colleagues for the well acceptance of our work."
