Women suffering from the effects of menopause now have a natural and safe way to alleviate their symptoms.

The makers of Vinetra™, who have unlocked the antioxidant powers of the North Carolina-grown muscadine grape, have announced the addition of a second unique blend of their 100 percent natural formula derived from the muscadine. Named Bella Femme, this all-natural dietary supplement contains powerful compounds that have been proven to alleviate the adverse effects of menopause.

Menopause is caused by the natural loss of ovarian function, which in turn leads to a decrease in estrogen production and the cessation of monthly menstruation. These changes cause a variety of ailments and conditions, including vaginal itching, dryness and burning, hot flashes, osteoporosis, increase incidence of cardiovascular disease due to the blood lipid alterations, insomnia and mood swings.

One of the compounds found in the muscadine grape skins, trans-resveratrol, has been found to be very effective in alleviating these symptoms. That's because researchers have found similarities between trans-resveratrol and synthetic estrogen, with the added benefit that it can increase the body's natural estrogen production without the side effects of the synthetic product. (Bagchi, D, 236) Along with this compound, Bella Femme contains other potent antioxidants such as quercetin, kaempferol, ellagic acid and piceatannol. These compounds have also been shown to offer relief from menopausal symptoms and post-menopausal problems.

Bella Femme can also serve as a safer surrogate for hormone replacement therapy, or HRT - which has been found to present more hazards than benefits with respect to the overall health of women. Researchers studying the health of women in other countries, such as Asia, have noted less instances of estrogen deficiency and have linked this to cultural dietary customs that promote the ingestion of foods that are naturally rich in plant estrogens. These same plant estrogens are found naturally in the muscadine grape and thus are carried over into the process by which Bella Femme is produced.

Adding to the uniqueness of Bella Femme is the fact that no additional exotic ingredients have been added. Other similar supplements add ingredients like soy, black cohash, or don quai to their product despite the existence of inconclusive scientific studies surrounding the use of such ingredients. Simply, Bella Femme is all-natural and does not contain any phytoestrogens and phytonutrients (plant derived estrogens and plant derived nutrients) that don't result from the natural processing of the muscadine grape skins.
