Throughout 2007 the NPA has produced a range of materials to help improve community pharmacy business processes, help implement and raise awareness of pharmacy services. Below we list six of our most popular resources this year:

Is a CD-ROM that is a highly practical aid to implementing MURs. The CD-ROM has been sponsored by an educational grant from GSK +Plus. Members can obtain the CD-ROM free-of-charge by contacting the GSK Customer Contact Centre on 0800 221441 quoting their member number.

NPA Brief Guides
Each guide sets out possible components of a pharmacy service, key arguments to make to NHS commissioners, the policy and regulatory background, and signposts to useful resources such as guidance and training packages. There are 10 Brief Guides and all can be downloaded from http://www.npa.co.uk/members.

Smoking Cessation - Service Development and Marketing materials
With the smoking ban implemented in England, Northern Ireland and Wales in 2007, marketing materials and a service development document were developed to support members carrying out a smoking cessation service, as well as promoting the service to the wider public, GPs and the media. Marketing materials can be found within the "NPA Campaigns" section of the members' website. Stop Smoking - Implementing a community pharmacy scheme in England can be downloaded from the NHS Service Development section of the NPA members' website.

Malaria prophylaxis (NPA Information Leaflet)
The most requested resource by members is available to download within the Information Leaflet section of the NPA members' website. Members should visit the website frequently to ensure they have the most up to date version.

Service Continuity Planning for Pandemic Flu
