On Thursday, 24 January 2008, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) will host the Medical Student and Young Doctors' Annual Awards Evening in London.
This free event, entitled "Celebrating Success and Commitment to the Specialty of Women's Health", will acknowledge the achievements of those embarking on their career in obstetrics and gynaecology.
The programme includes presentations by the recipients of Medical Student Prizes; a lecture by Miss Sara Paterson-Brown entitled "Why Obs and Gynae and what it does for me"; and a session by Dr Maggie Blott, RCOG Vice-President for Education, who will speak about how to achieve a successful application into Specialty Training. College Officers and members of Council will also be in attendance.
The evening will conclude with a free drinks and canapés reception and promises to be an excellent opportunity for anyone considering this exciting and unpredictable specialty.
