Updated Toolkit Focuses On Collecting Data On Disparities In Health Care

Health Research & Educational Trust Toolkit, Health Research & Educational Trust: The updated toolkit is intended to provide hospitals, health systems, clinics and health plans information and resources necessary for collecting race, ethnicity and primary language data from patients to track the prevalence and nature of health disparities and help focus efforts to eliminate disparities and improve quality of care. The toolkit also aims to help educate and inform hospital staff about the importance of data collection, how to implement a framework to collect data and how to use the data to improve quality of care for all populations (HRET release, 1/16).
