BioScrip, Inc. Announces Opening Of Two New Specialty Pharmacies, USA

BioScrip, Inc. (Nasdaq: BIOS) announced the opening of new specialty pharmacies in Hawthorne, New York, and Pompano Beach, Florida.

The New York location, situated on the campus of Westchester Medical Center, will offer convenient access to specialty and traditional medications to the more than 3.5 million people in NY's Hudson Valley region and beyond that the Medical Center serves. In addition, a new infusion pharmacy and treatment site in Pompano Beach, Florida, has been completed and will be operational by the end of January, 2008. BioScrip now has seven pharmacy locations throughout the State of Florida.

Chairman and CEO, Richard H. Friedman, stated, "We continue to look to expand our pharmacy services across the country in select growth markets based on population, payor mix and current business. These two new locations will provide increased access to medications and services for patients and help strengthen our market position as we continue to execute on our strategic initiatives."

In addition, as permitted by Section 4350(i)(1)(iv) of the NASDAQ listing requirements, the Company has made equity-based compensation awards outside of its stockholder approved equity-based plans to the following employees: (i) Mr. Richard T. Goldsby, Director of Information Technology was granted 20,000 options to purchase common stock, par value $0.001 per share ("Common Stock"), and 12,000 restricted shares of the Company's Common Stock ("Restricted Shares"), and (ii) Mr. James Daddio and Ms. Sandra Johnson, both Directors of National Accounts were granted 15,000 options and 8,500 Restricted Shares. The above grants vest over three years in equal annual installments. The exercise price of all options granted was the closing stock price on the date of approval by BioScrip's Management Development and Compensation Committee.
