Presenters will summarize and discuss relevant research and practical experience from around the world. Themes include: research and development priorities; integrating knowledge; building end-to-end systems; designing adaptive systems that link action with knowledge; and managing power and interests.

On April 3, Michael Crow, president of Arizona State University, will deliver the 2008 Arthur M. The poster session and reception will begin at 4:40 p.m., followed by the lecture at 6 p.m. The lecture and reception are free and open to the public; registration and photo ID are required.

The program, part of the Sackler Colloquium series, will be held at the National Academy of Sciences building at 2100 C St., N.W., Washington, D.C. A program, list of speakers, and registration information are available online.
