The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) announces a groundbreaking strategic partnership with My InnerView to further the development of a national database on resident, family, and employee satisfaction levels. NCAL is committed to promoting quality in the assisted living profession and recently selected My InnerView to be its data partner as part of that commitment.

"NCAL is proud to announce a strategic partnership that provides our members and the profession with a tool to assess this critical component of quality in assisted living," said David Kyllo, NCAL's executive director. "My InnerView's services can help member facilities identify areas of operational performance needing improvement. Additionally, through both operational successes and this initiative, the profession will have its first ever national, independent customer satisfaction database."

My InnerView's satisfaction questionnaires have been designed specifically for assisted living providers with input from residents, family members, managers and leading researchers in the field.

"By having a clearer understanding of what matters most to residents and employees, providers can prioritize and focus their efforts to create environments that maximize their residents' satisfaction," said Kyllo. "Quality must be defined by our residents, family members, and employees and the quality of care and services being delivered."

NCAL's member leadership spent considerable time throughout 2007 evaluating the best manner to measure quality. My InnerView rigorously evaluates its data outcomes for accuracy and validates its satisfaction instruments continually which drove NCAL's strategic partnership. Also leading to this determination My InnerView regularly conducts focus groups in assisted living communities around the country to provide continued validation of its survey tools. "My InnerView's Satisfaction Surveys provide the profession with reputable, independent measurements of its ability to provide a product based on quality," concluded Kyllo. "This partnership moves the assisted living profession forward on its quality journey."

The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) is committed to quality and performance excellence in the assisted living. NCAL, a federation of state affiliates, represents approximately 2,500 non-profit and for-profit assisted living residences and residential care facilities that are dedicated to professional and compassionate care for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. My InnerView is one of the nation's leading providers of quality-management tools for long-term care facilities, maintaining the industry's largest private database of employee and customer satisfaction metrics. As a web-based applied research and data management firm, My InnerView provides leaders in assisted living, senior housing and skilled nursing professions with tools to measure, benchmark and improve performance.
