DiabetesAmerica(TM) Opens New San Antonio Health Center

DiabetesAmerica, the premier network of diabetes care and management centers across the state of Texas, announced today that they will be opening a new center in San Antonio. Scheduled to open on April 3, 2008, the brand new 3,500 sq. ft. health center will be dedicated to providing comprehensive diabetes care, including medical treatment, education, nutrition counseling and weight management. The center will be located at 7863 Callaghan Road - Building 2, Suite 206, San Antonio, TX 78229.

DiabetesAmerica also welcomes Dr. Jacqueline Pugh, MD to the staff as chief physician at the new San Antonio Center. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Pugh earned her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center followed by two Fellowships in General Internal Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology. Dr. Pugh has been actively involved in diabetes care and research for 23 years.

"We're very excited to have Dr. Pugh on board in San Antonio," said Dr. Frank Basile, DiabetesAmerica President and CEO. "She brings with her a wealth of medical expertise in diabetes and we know she will make a valuable addition to the DiabetesAmerica team."

DiabetesAmerica first entered the San Antonio market in 2007, with a 4,300 sq. ft. center in the Stone Oak area located at 20330 Huebner Road, Suite 104, San Antonio, TX 78258. In addition to San Antonio, DiabetesAmerica also has centers in Houston, Dallas and Corpus Christi.
