Unique, Heath Lambert's specialist insurance scheme for people living with pre-existing medical conditions, is delighted to announce its partnership with Children's Liver Disease Foundation, the only organisation in the UK fighting all liver diseases of childhood. It means that through Unique, children with liver disease and their families can enjoy trips abroad with the comprehensive travel insurance that they should have, but which they can often find difficult to obtain.

Catherine Arkley, Chief Executive at Children's Liver Disease Foundation, commented: "Day in, day out, CLDF's work makes a difference to thousands of families all over the UK and we know that finding suitable travel insurance for youngsters with what are often incurable conditions can be tremendously difficult.

"Many insurance companies will not provide cover, and those that do often charge a lot more for the privilege. Unique is now able to offer these families comprehensive and competitive travel insurance and CLDF has been pleased to work with the team to create this solution, which we know will make a huge difference to families living every day with childhood liver disease."

Unique offers both single-trip and annual policies, for both European and worldwide trips. The availability of cover is not limited to children with liver disease and their families - their friends, carers and supporters of Children's Liver Disease Foundation can take advantage of this service too.

Some of the key benefits include:

-- As there is no referral for medical screening it's quick and easy to purchase cover.

-- No confirmation of medication is required, just the number of medications taken.

-- Cover is included for:
- the replacement of lost or damaged medication - up to a limit of £300
- cancellation - up to £5000
- loss of personal luggage - up to £2500.

-- An important plus is that there are no age limits on single trip policies.

-- The cover is underpinned by a 24-hour medical emergency service.
