Report on Cancer Reform Strategy welcomed by Cancerbackup

In response to the Cancer Campaigning Group's (CCG) report released recently, 'Getting it right for people with cancer', on the government's Cancer Reform Strategy, Cancerbackup issues the following:

"The CCG is right to want to hold the government to account," says Joanne Rule, Cancerbackup's chief executive. "We are concerned that there are quick steps towards effective commissioning and that PCT's work with and take advice from Cancer Networks." She added: "We particularly look forward to implementation of proposals to improve patient information."

1) Cancerbackup is the only national charity that specialises in providing information on all types of cancer.
