Its A Wonderful Tool For Me To Break The Myth.

posted by Josephine Nalugo on 31 Oct 2007 at 3:57 am

Thanks to the brains that carried out this study. Alot of myths going around about breastfeeding. As an advocate of breastfeeding 3 years experince, this article is going to be one of my tool to break the myth about breastfeeding. Iam putting up a breastfeeding exhibition in Uganda Kampala in December to give mothers information about breastfeeding after having achieved the international recommendations to exclusive breastfeeding (six months) and the benefits that come along. I saved $417 not buying infant formula after I returned to work because I knew about the Gold in breastfeeding. unlike mothers who do not breastfeed their children because they fear their breasts will drop!

Subscribing to medical news is very important to me. As a mother of 2 living in a developing country where mothers face a number of social, economic and political problems I have learnt and I always want to share with them.

before my pregnancy i was 120 pounds, 23 years old and was a B cup size, no history of smoking or second hand smoke...during the course of my first pregnancy I grew to a D cup...breastfed 12 months they weaned my daughter now i am again 120 pounds, still don't smoke, 25years old, and I don't fill an A cup. explain that! and yes i am so depressed about it that my husband asked if i wanted a boob job. I think you should do more research.

Emilay Hampton...I just read your response and I feel bad for you! I can not relate to you at this point but I symapthize with you simply bc a woman is defined by their breasts and other assests and if you are not happy with that...then it is a sad case. However, during your pregnancy your breast enlarged bc they were filled with milk...then you breast fed and got rid of all or majority of the milk so your breast shrunk! Thats totally common! Just because YOUR breast do not fit in a A cup is not a terrible issue and does not mean that this myth is true. You should have expected for your breast to shrink...thats what happens!! The main thing that you should be happy and concerned about is that you have a veary happy and healthy baby wh received the best nutrients from his/her mommy!! Thats the benefit of breast feeding... the bond you have with your baby, the nutrients you are feeding your baby NOT how you look!! Like you said...you can always go and buy more breast...but thats a baby that you can not always get...he/she is one of a kind! I hope you are better now! :-)
