Breakfast and obesity

My mother never eats breakfast but I do. However, I am obese and she is not.
Misleading, as per usual

This study proves one thing only. Not that skipping breakfast is bad for your health, like the article suggests, but that those who do skip breakfast are more likely to have an unhealthier lifestyle. I'm fed up with reading these misleading health stories.
It's all in how it's presented.

This proves no cause and effect. It would be truer stated: "People with unhealthy lifestyles usually skip breakfast" Worthless correlation study, like saying dirty clothing is the direct cause of homelessness because most homeless people have dirty clothes. It's the other way around people.
Skipping breakfast - yes!

Breakfast is the worst invention ever.
Why would you break your fast, when fasting has the most amazing health benefits ever known to man.
Increase fat burn, getting rid of dead cells and rejuvenating your body. Increase HGH which promotes fat burn and muscle tone. not to mention that big breakfast is NOT something that our sympathetic nervous system likes...
That's why we get energy crushes and mood swings during the day.
Big, carb and protein loaded dinner is what it's all about, our parasympathetic system is activated and is called for a reason the 'rest-and-digest' system.
Eat 2 light protein meals during the day like Omlette and Cottage cheese, and save majority of calories for evening time.
Hog Wash - skipping breakfast

Ya its not the most important meal of the day. At least not for me. I haven't ate breakfast since I was 12. I'm 30. I'm a 100% in health at least my doctor tells me so. I'm also the top tech in my field. My energy levels are fine in the morning with a cup of joe and no I don't snack any. I'm not overweight or a chain smoker (2-3 a day). I don't drink and I also don't do drugs or take prescriptions. So this is a case by case scenario.
Fasting

What if you are fasting until noon for relgious reasons during lent or advent and don't eat unhealthy things to make up for it?

Your opinion would be more valued if you would have used the correct form of 'ate' in your post. You haven't eaten breakfast since you were 12.
Possibly...

hmmm... there have also been studies that say that if you don't eat breakfast but don't snack to make up for it you don't gain weight... eating breakfast wakes you up and makes it easier to get up tomorrow morning... but if breakfast makes you start snacking all morning surely it's better to postpone it as long as possible...
