I have had a cyst.
posted by Christina on 10 Dec 2010 at 1:06 pmI have had a cyst in my frontal right lobe of my brain. They removed it in November 1993. Back in 1993 the doctors did not tell me all of this. Thank you all for putting all this on the internet. Can cyst be passed down from parents to their children?

I had a cyst in my groin right in my knicker line it comes & goes but its not been there for about 6 months now what happens to the cyst if not removed can it travel to another part of the body

I have a cyst in my throat. The doctor said we'll leave it for six months and see if it gets bigger or smaller. Is there anything i can do to help it go away?

I get cysts in my arm pits. I also get them behind my knees and on the lip of my vigina on the out side. .. please help me. ...!!!!!

This is really informative, after my friend was diagnosed with a cyst it really came home to me that we do take so much for granted,we as women need to take more checks on ourselves medically and not wait until something happen before we go to the doctor thank you for this information.
Arachnoid Cyst

I was told today I had a large Arachnoid Cyst in the rear lower part of my brain. I had an extreme blow to my head about 40 days ago. It was considered a concusion. I was released back to work in 3 days with instructions to take it easy. So I went back to work and in about 2 to 3 weeks and I had what I thought might be a stroke. I turned extremely red and felt like I was going to pass out and several other symptons to make a doctor think it would be a stroke or heart attack. My cardiologist ruled that out after stress test. I finally received a C- Scan and the results were I had an Arachoid Cyst in the rear of my brain. Larger than what the Dr. had seen before. He told me not to worry that to go back to work and it was a common thing. No way it was related to the blow to my head 1 month before. I`ve been having headaches and dizziness and slurred speech and blurred vision along with pains in my ears and neck. Totally no energy. What is the solution and what do I do for improvement?

I had this cyst off and on for years and finally about a month ago, May of 2011, it came out of nowhere. On a saturday morning I woke up and it was the size of a pea and I thought it was a hair bump. By Sunday afternoon, it was the size of a walnut! Went to my doctor that Thursday for him to lance it and he took one look and said it was too close to my scrotum and he sent me to a neurologist and he said the same thing and said I needed to have surgery! I was like, WOW! It was just too close for comfort! lol So by the time my surgery date came, the cyst had went down and of course I tried to get out of the surgery but the surgeon said it would keep returning if I didn't have it done. So I've had the surgery which was a mini fortune and my ins. only paid half of the surgery cost! $6000 and a week of Vicodin, I feel better but will have trouble paying for the surgery. Painful!!

It's been their for about 8months but it have'nt gotten

i was diagnosed last april 2010 that i have ovarian cyst,them the doctor prescribed me a medicine..after a week i feel a unnecessary pain..i go directly to the hospital & they noticed that im pregnant & it is ectopic..i was really shocked what the doctor said...after that they remove my right ovary....now 1 yr past my problem is i feel pain on the same palce where they remove my my right ovary & i feel theres really a cyst..can u give me any idea what will i gonna do..i hate to go the doctor..tnx

Thankyou for making me think more about the many cysts i have in my body. I've had headaches that come and go in the twinkling of any eye for years. One Dr. was concerned about a tumor causing them. I didn't go for the X-ray. The next Dr. said if I've been getting headaches for years he didn't want to submit me to an X-ray. After reading your article i think my instant headaches are the result of cysts.

I notice a painful lump on my lip and my doctor said it's a Cyst. He said if it get bigger that it has to be removed. It's not as big as before but still boders me. Should I be worried?. It's always good to do research. This page really helped.

If you are feeling pain and the sensation of something being in teh same spot where your ovary was removed, it is possible you may have adhesions from your surgery.In most cases of any kind of abdominal surgery scar tissue forms, and in some people, especially we women, the scar tissue becomes an adhesion. You really should get that checked out, they can diagnose it with a laporoscopic procedure. (Little camera inserted through the belly button area). Even if you hate going to the doctor, this is nothing to fool around with. Write down your symptoms, keep track of them, and call your doctor asap, please. You'll likely be fine, but one should always be sure. Good luck!

my name is hunter i am m 11 and i have a cysts on my right hand below my pointer finger its the same size and its been ther for 2 months as i know and my dad has one on his pointer finger in the middle and his cysts is the same size and its been there for over a year please help us it is annoying and hurts a little

i had a batholins cyst very painful had to remove it .Tried the antibiotics couldn't help much had to go through surgery it been a year it has healed.

I have a cyst on my face. Its been there for years and it sometimes causes headaches. The doc said after surgery I will be lesf with a scar. That scares me but I am finally getting it removed tomorrow. Any suggestions on what I can use to make the scare less visible? I don't like make-up.

I am thirty two years old and for the past five years or so I have had multiple cysts underneath the pit of my arm. The scare came to me just this past week when I noticed an unusual bump on my lower back that was painful and look liked something along the lines of a spider bite by the next evening my whole side was tender to the touch and was red all around it. Also underneath my breast was tender as well and there was a large lump. Two days after finding my lump I went to the er in alot of pain the doctor there cut the lump open and said that there was nothing to drain and said that I had a skin disease called cellulitis and that there were multiple cysts that should be looked over by a doctor but had no connection to my cellulitis. I am scared to see the doctor for fear of what he will say but the cysts are causing me great pain, I wonder what is causing this discomfort.

i have a lump about an inch wide and two inches long starting next to my elbow and getting skinnier as it gets closer to my wrist I was playing rugby earlier today and took an elbow to the fore arm, im just wondering if this will be a big problem and if it will go away on its own help please

Actually, i had one when i was eight, just a young lad. Being unaware of what was happening, i noticed i had a limp and was favouring my right leg. it was the size of a tennis ball and in my femur. the limp was caused cause it broke my leg in two places, but i didnt feel it. what kind of cyst is that??? it didnt say in the article so i was just wondering. also, can cysts be cancerous???

I had a cyst on my lip. i got it removed but it came back. the cyst did dissappear on its own but it comes back once in awhile and its bugging me. I also found out a few months ago that i have a Cyst on My right leg on the bone. This cyst is apparently wrapped around my bone and the doctors wont do anything. I ran up the stairs and my bone broke in half in my leg and the doctors still wont do anything. What should i do???

I'm 31 weeks pregnant and they found a cysts close to my baby girl's ovary, i'm a little scare and don't know what to expect, everything was going well with my pregnancy and now it feels like my life have been turn around,,they will do another ultrasound in 2 weeks and check how's everything...
