Hollywood and Lesbianism

However, the stats for women experimenting is being directly impacted by hollywoods consistent, insistent glorification of lesbianism in all forms.. It would be a lower number of women kissing each other, which would perhaps lead to other sex acts if it were not for hollywood and music stars (public kisses on award shows with everyone cheering as an example)

Self-reported sexual behavior is notoriously untrustworthy -- ask Bill Clinton. When you ask about heterosexual behavior, the answers of men and women don't jive. The men claim way more sex with women than the women report having. Most likely, both genders are lying. It is important to keep this in mind because women who have completed college have financial or professional reasons to dissemble that a high school graduate would lack. If you are working at Waffle House who cares about your lesbian fling? If you are a teacher, it could potentially get you into trouble.

I reserve my opinion on the validity of this study until the researchers submit their peer-reviewed data. That or submit video evidence for my, er, review.

Jimmy, I think you're on to something. I think research of this nature needs to be fully funded and the results widely *ahem* disseminated. Think of the lives that could be saved, not to mention the job creation in the tissue and sweatsock industries.

I agree with the first poster that Hollywood has gone out of its way to promote lesbianism, esecially in the last 15 years or so. I am a heterosexual guy and have no clue why so many men find this a turn on. I much rather PARTICIPATE with a woman one-on-one.

I totally agree, Jimmy. I'm going to need to review thousands of these vídeos of sexy coeds getting freaky in their dorm rooms before I can asses whether this study is legit or not. Damn science is cool after all.

I think most women don't consider first base and second base with other women as homosexual behavior at all, where as men do. It is a forbidden fruit more for men, clearly, than women. Men who are just friends don't hold hands, cuddle each other unlike women.

Randy, if you submit some peer-reviewed evidence for your god hypothesis then it might be relevant to this discussion. Otherwise this is probably not the place to rehash Pascal's tired old Wager.

What exactly are the people who conducted this "study" trying to tell us, that there's an inverse correlation between lesbianism and IQ?
Ron is correct: these types of studies aren't worth their weight in toilet paper. It's amazing how in this day and age of rising deficits and debts good money is still being flushed down the toilet.
