With the legal deadline (30 July 2008) for GDC registration fast approaching, dental technicians must act now to ensure they are registered in time.
For dental technicians who have not yet registered, a 'Registration Surgery' will be available at the Dental Technology Show (9-10 May). We will be on hand at the GDC exhibition stand (E20 & E22) to check application forms, as well as offer advice and answer questions on the registration process. If everything's in order we can take your completed form back to the office for processing. Completed forms and accompanying documents can be submitted by colleagues for those who can't make it themselves.
Dental nurses and technicians who would like to submit applications at the 'Registration Surgery' need to bring certified copies of all the relevant supporting documents, including proof of identity, as original documents will not be accepted on the day.
The GDC will be holding two 'Speaker's Corner' workshop sessions which will provide a further opportunity to find out even more about registration and continuing professional development.
More information about DCP registration, including application forms, is available from the GDC website http://www.gdc-uk.org.
