Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, UK, has implemented RiO, a specialist Mental Health Care Record System across the Trust's Forensic Services, including the DSPD unit at Rampton.

In selecting RiO Paul Smeeton, Head of Informatics - Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust said "we chose RiO because of the functionality of the product and the confidence expressed by other customers of CSE-Servelec in their ability to deliver."

CSE-Servelec's web based Mental Health Care Record system, RiO, will provide Notthinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust with a single source of clinical information providing improved patient care and increased productivity.

RiO is very easy to use as it has been designed to mimic the structure of paper based medical records within an electronic structure. This, coupled with the ability of the system to give clinicians' instant access, means that it has been quickly accepted by clinicians who are able to realise the benefits of going paperless.

CSE-Servelec's latest success follows the implementation of RiO, in the last 2 years, at many Healthcare Trusts & PCTs throughout the country, such as Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland Mental Health NHS Trust, 4 Primary Care Trusts in Sheffield, Somerset Partnership NHS & Social Care Trust, 5 PCTs in Leeds and East Elmbridge & Mid Surrey Primary Care Trust.
