1000 Healthcare Professionals Expected At The Diabetes Asia 2008 Conference

More than 1000 local and foreign participants are expected to attend the "Diabetes Asia 2008" Conference to be held in a resort hotel convention centre, Petaling Jaya for four days from October 23-26, 2008.
The Conference is organised by the National Diabetes Institute (NADI) as a "Continuing Professional Development (CPD)" activity for healthcare professionals caring for people with diabetes. This year's Conference is expanded to include three tracks covering Diabetes Care in Practice, Advances in Diabetology and Free Paper Presentation on practical aspects of diabetes care.
31 local experts in diabetes, cardiology, nephrology, opthtalmology, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychology, diet, nutrition, physical fitness and diabetes education are invited to be in the Faculty to deliver lectures in symposiums and participate in panel discussions and meet-the-experts sessions.
This year, eight international experts from the USA, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and Australia are also in the faculty to deliver plenary lectures and discuss diverse subjects on diabetes care including Diabetes Epidemic, Postprandial Hyperglycaemia, Controversies in the Current Management of Type 2 Diabetes, Diabetes Education, The Potential of Reversing Beta Cell Failure in T2DM and Newer Diabetes Technologies for improving diabetes care.
Participants are encouraged to register early to secure a place and benefit from the "Early Bird" fees.
