NCH, the children's charity's response to the Culture, Media and Sport Committee Report published Shaun Kelly, Safeguarding Manager at NCH, the children's charity.
"The recommendations made today bring us a step closer to making the internet a safer place for children and young people. But more still needs to be done.
"We work with thousands of the UK's most vulnerable children and young people and our own research has clearly highlighted the dangers the internet poses. As the number of young people using the internet increases so does the need to ensure they are protected when online, particularly when using social networking sites.
"We hope the industry will work in partnership with the Government in making sure the recommendations are listened to, but it is important to remember that it is all of our responsibility to ensure they remain safe. "
