Children's Miracle Network, an international non-profit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals, teamed up with Stanley Tools and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Elliott Sadler at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Mich. Sparrow is a Children's Miracle Network hospital.

While at the hospital, Sadler raced hospital patients in a high-speed remote control race through the halls and presented a child with an award for winning a contest that had Sparrow patients design a NASCAR helmet. He also toured the hospital and visited with patients and staff.

"Life as a race car driver can be very fast paced, but it's important to slow down and honor these real champions," said Sadler. "There is so much courage and hope in this hospital; I'm grateful for the opportunity to team up with Stanley Tools and Children's Miracle Network to do something really worthwhile."

Sadler will participate in the 3M Performance 400 Presented by Bondo race August 17 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich. If Sadler wins the race, Stanley Tools has committed to make a $1 million donation to Children's Miracle Network.
