FUTEK Advanced Sensor Technology, Inc. has just expanded its Multi Axis Load Cell series with the new MTA505 Multi Axis Load Cell. The MTA505 Multi Axis Load Cell (Tri-Axial) offers an excellent solution for measuring Mx, My, and Fz loads. It is currently offered in two capacity options:
- 10,000 lbs (Fz), 2,000 in-lbs (Mx), 2,000 in-lbs (My).
- 25,000 lbs (Fz), 10,000 in-lbs (Mx) 10,000 in-lbs (My)
The product is made from a robust 17-4 Stainless Steel material to withstand challenging environments and offers great accuracy by utilizing Strain Gage Technology . The obvious advantage in using a Multi Axis Load Cell as opposed to a regular Load Cell is in its ability to measure multiple axis loads. Such an application measurement is common in rehabilitation and physical therapy where a Multi Axis Load Cell can be utilized to measure the multiple forces of the muscles and joints. Automated production lines and Robotic applications would also be suitable environments where the MTA505 can be used.
FUTEK also provides a Standard Calibration Service in Compression (free of charge) for these Multi Axis Load Cells per NIST Traceable Standards. FUTEK also has an ISO17025:2005 A2LA accredited laboratory that can also provide additional calibration options such as a complete System Calibration (if an instrument is selected with the Multi Axis Load Cell). By selecting the system calibration, your sensor and instrument will be integrated as one system. The complete system will be set up, configured, scaled, calibrated, and ready for plug and play.
Over the last 20 years, FUTEK has built itself a solid reputation as a custom solution load cell manufacturer. The company carries 8 different Multi Axis Load Cell Models and over 400 products covering various Load Cell, Torque Sensor, Force Sensor and Pressure Sensor applications. With an in house machine shop, full manufacturing company and experienced research and development team, FUTEK will modify an existing standard product or completely customize a design per customer's requirements. In addition to its complete Load Cell Line, the company manufactures Pressure Sensors, Torque Sensors, and Force Sensors with all required Instruments and Accessories.
