The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's national awareness week runs from 20 - 27 September. It's a great opportunity to raise awareness of muscle disease, its impact on families around the UK and, of course, to raise money to help us continue our vital work.

Key events during the week include:

Friday 19 - 21 September

- Family Weekend, Calvert Trust, Keilder

Saturday 20 September, all day

- Dive With Sharks, Cheshire

Sunday 21 September

- Rutland Round Cycle and Walk

Tuesday 23 September, 9am

- Young Pavement Artists Competition Launch at the Natural History Museum, London

Wednesday 24 September, 5pm

- Lobby and reception at Holyrood, Edinburgh
- Launch of Building on the Foundations, Scotland

Friday 26 September, 6 - 9pm

- An evening debate with Steve McCabe MP , Birmingham (a discussion about the patient survey results and existing services in West Midlands)

Saturday 27 September, 10am

- National Conference , Birmingham
- Official launch of State of the Nation , Birmingham
- Chester Ghost Hunt

Monday 29 September

- World Muscle Society Congress, Newcastle
