Today at the annual meeting of the Transplant Financial Coordinators Association, eHealth Global Technologies announced that it has established its eHealthConnect™ medical record retrieve and e-delivery service at over 25 solid organ transplant departments across the country since launching the service just 18 months ago. The service is being used by many leading transplant centers, including the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centers, Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System, Rush University Medical Center and Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

After patient coordinators submit a secure online request, eHealthConnect provides medical records and imaging study collection by eHealth Global's clinical customer support team for patients that are referred to these departments. These records and images are then digitized and made accessible to these institutions through a secure delivery method of their choice.

Transplant programs have a critical need to gather prior patient pathology, lab and radiology reports and images to support the process for a patient's organ transplantation listing. eHealthConnect helps facilities obtain medical records in a more-timely manner for patient evaluation and subsequent listing.

"The growth of our service in Transplant departments nationwide further demonstrates the strong need to streamline the process of obtaining patient records for transplant candidates. We are gratified to hear the many success stories that indicate we have been instrumental in shortening the time that a patient has to wait to get through evaluation and on to critical organ transplantation lists," stated Michael Margiotta, Chief Executive Office of eHealth Global.
