The NPA's stand at the 2008 Pharmacy Show (12-13 October) was hosted by representatives from each of the NPA's departments who encouraged attendees to "Ask the NPA".
The NPA also held a debate on whether 'Scripts or Services' were the future for pharmacy. NPA Board Members Nitin Sodha (West Midlands) and Sean Woodward (West and the Marches) outlined the role that both scripts and services will have in securing the community pharmacy's future. The event was attended by over 90 NPA members.
Paul Bennett, NPA Chairman addressed the Pharmacy Show in a keynote speech describing how both NHS and private services can work together in the pharmacy setting. Paul highlighted recently launched NPA resources such as the MUR and chlamydia resource packs.
Tina Cardy, Head of Marketing said: "The Pharmacy Show provided us with the opportunity to talk directly to NPA members. We speak to members on a daily basis but having face-to-face dialogue is an opportunity not to be missed."
Tina added: "The debate we hosted at the Pharmacy Show is part of a series of member events we are holding throughout the UK to get even closer to our members and understand their priorities."
