Hundreds of clinical development executives from the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO sectors will gather on November 9-11 in Shanghai to attend the industry's first major international conference covering China's booming clinical development industry. The preliminary attendee list has been posted to encourage pre-conference networking on the event website at http://www.chinatrialsevent.com.

"CHINA TRIALS 2008: Global Clinical Development Summit" will feature insights from small and emerging biotech/pharma companies that have successfully outsourced trials to China, who will share their strategies on selecting CROs in China as well as their experiences with the quality and acceptability of submitting the data to Western health authorities. Big pharma companies already in China will discuss strategies to refine and improve their clinical operations and interactions with the SFDA, China's health authority. While most of the presentations will be given in English, the entire conference will be translated simultaneously in English and Mandarin.

Conference topics include:

-Integrating China into global clinical development
-Regulatory review at the SFDA
-Successful collaborations between Pharma, Biotechs and CROs
-Acceptability of China data for submission to the FDA and EMEA
-Oncology, neuroscience, vaccine, biologics and medical device development
-Safety assessment for conducting trials in China
-Conducting early-stage trials in China
