Foods Matter, the UK's only magazine for those with food allergies and intolerances, kicks off 2009 with a new website launched to coincide with Food Allergy and Intolerance week on 19th-23rd January. With over 1200 pages covering every aspect of allergy, intolerance and sensitivity (inhaled, contact and ingested) and the many health conditions related to them, it is the first port of call for anyone with either a personal or a professional interest in the area.
The site includes articles, research papers and links for on-going research on both food and non-food allergy and intolerance, asthma and respiratory conditions, autistic spectrum disorders, chemical sensitivity, coeliac disease, gluten intolerance and other digestive conditions, dairy allergy and lactose intolerance, eczema and other skin conditions, electro sensitivity and other environmental conditions, ME and CFS, mental health, natural medicinal approaches and nutritional medicine.
The site also includes a large 'free-from-everything' recipe section, a very comprehensive links section and forums relating to each of the conditions investigated on the site.
Direct links also take you to the Foods Matter FreeFrom Food Awards site - http://www.freefromfoodawards.co.uk - the UK's first and hugely successful industry awards for 'free-from' foods, sponsored this year by Livwell - http://www.livwell.eu - and to Foods Matter's manuals/resources for any food service outlet from a five star restaurant to a greasy spoon caff. - http://http:/www.allergycateringmanual.com and http://www.schoolscateringmanual.com
