The tragic death of three-and-a-half-month-old Jaden Mack in south Wales again highlights the need for change in legislation on dog ownership, according to an animal behaviour expert.
TV dog trainer Debbie Connolly has been calling for a change in the Dangerous Dogs Act and feels that tragedies such as this will continue unless owners are made accountable.
"This appears to be another sad tragedy but the dogs are not to blame," says Connolly, the founder of http://www.SafePets.co.uk and a leading force behind MSP Alex Neil's campaign to change the Dangerous Dogs Act.
"Until we have a law that makes owners responsible for their dog's behavior, and sets acceptable standards, these tragedies will surely continue."
"The SafePets Project does exactly that and yet councils are reluctant to get involved."
