Thirty Of LA BioMed Physician-Scientists Honored

In a nationwide survey of medical professionals, 13 physician-scientists from the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (LA BioMed) are among the 5,000 top specialists around the country honored in the upcoming 2009 edition of "America's Top Doctors," a national guide of the top 1 percent of medical professionals in the country.
Castle Connolly, the publisher of "America's Top Doctors," selected 17 additional LA BioMed physician-scientists as among the top doctors in the region and listed them on its website, http://www.castleconnolly.com.
Castle Connolly said it surveys "tens of thousands of physicians and hospital executives to identify, screen and, ultimately, select those physicians regarded by their peers as leaders - among the very best in their specialties and for specific diseases and techniques."
