Somerset smokers can now access more help and support to quit smoking via Somerset NHS Stop Smoking Services new website.
With No Smoking Day 2009 on the 11th of March, many smokers are already thinking about the best ways to quit smoking.
The new website contains pages of useful information about the benefits of quitting, and what help is available to support people through the process.
Somerset NHS Stop Smoking Service can be accessed at many local venues across Somerset, information on where and when you're local "Stop Smoking Start Living" programmes are available can be found on the new site.
There is also a "Click To Quit" online referral form which can be filled in and submitted, then a member of the stop smoking team will contact you to find out what help you require.
"You are four times more likely to quit smoking using the Somerset NHS Stop Smoking Service, and the new "Stop Smoking Start Living" programme is aimed at helping you stop and stay stopped" say Laura Ridout Stop Smoking Service Manager.
Over 4000 people quit smoking last year in Somerset using the NHS Stop Smoking Service.
