Presentation of results from first ever pan-European survey of public perceptions of psoriasis

WHY?

Psoriasis, a chronic skin disorder that can be extremely itchy, painful and disfiguring, affects 1 person in 50. Although it has no cure, with wide and equal access to modern treatments and increased awareness and professional support, people with psoriasis can vastly improve their disease and the quality of their lives.

World Psoriasis Day marks a global 'wake-up call' to the misery of psoriasis and the launch of a new patient proclamation calling for urgent action to significantly enhance the quality of life of people with psoriasis through improved treatment, understanding and support.

WHAT?

A media briefing will be held prior to World Psoriasis Day. Chaired by Lars Ettarp (IFPA - International Federation of Psoriasis Associations), the speakers include psoriasis patient association representatives, a leading dermatologist, a psychologist and patient.
