The American Medical Association (AMA) today launches a profile page on the social-networking site Twitter. AMA "tweets" will provide timely AMA news and information.
The American Medical Association helps doctors help patients by uniting physicians to work on the most important professional and public health issues. As the nation continues to work toward health-system reform, the AMA will use Twitter to provide updates on what is needed to better serve patients and to empower physicians to deliver the highest quality care.
The first AMA "tweet" announces the AMA's new online e-prescribing learning center to provide physicians with all of the information and tools they need to make informed decisions about electronic prescribing. The physician learning center can be found at http://www.ama-assn.org/go/eprescribing.
