No time to keep abreast of the most important osteoporosis-related research? Progress in Osteoporosis, the free online journal published by the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) on http://www.iofbonehealth.org/pio provides concise summaries of new research published in the preceding three to four months. The journal is edited by leading osteoporosis researcher and author, Professor Ego Seeman of the University of Melbourne, Australia.
Progress in Osteoporosis is published four times a year, with free access to registered visitors. Published online since March 2008, the journal now has more than 7000 registered readers from around the world. In addition to overviews of the contents of abstracts, which are abbreviated to concisely convey the main theme, the editor includes insightful commentaries. Summaries and figures are provided for readers who may not have easy access to all the specialist literature.
