Fitness professionals and active adults are invited to hear from Leslie Bonci, M.P.H., R.D., C.S.S.D., director of nutrition, and Aimee Kimball, Ph.D., director of mental training, both from the UPMC Center for Sports Medicine.

WHAT

A free workshop, "Enhance Your Workout: Understanding the Mental and Nutritional Aspects of Exercise"

WHEN

10:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 30

WHERE

UPMC Center for Sports Medicine, 3200 S. Water Street, South Side

WHY

Summer is just around the corner, making now the perfect time for fitness instructors and regular exercisers to optimize their workouts. Dr. Kimball will discuss how motivation, focus and attitude can influence exercisers of all ability levels. Centering on the nutritional aspects of exercise, Ms. Bonci will teach participants how food and hydration can affect both recovery and performance.
