The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain's incumbent President, Steve Churton has been re-elected for a further term, following Council's election on 3 June.

Also achieving successful re-election for 2009-10 were Vice-President, Martin Astbury and Treasurer, John Gentle.

The Society Chief Executive and Registrar, Jeremy Holmes said: "I am delighted to announce the election of the three Council Officers, all of whom have demonstrated remarkable leadership and vision throughout this time of great change.

"Steve Churton, particularly, has been committed to advocating on behalf the profession during his inaugural presidential term. I am confident the Society, and the profession, will be good in hands with these three able leaders at the helm."

Steve Churton is currently Boots' Head of Professional Practice. Martin Astbury is a community pharmacist at WM Morrisons and John Gentle is a Director of Lunts Pharmacies.
