Up to 150 forensic psychology professionals will attend presentations of new and exciting research at the Division of Forensic Psychology Annual Conference from the 23rd to 25th June, at the University of Central Lancashire.
The conference will cover various elements of the latest forensic research and its application in forensic settings.
Research presented will cover:
- Psychopaths use of violence
- Advancements in photo-fits
- Attitudes of blame - male and female rape victims
- Bias in police line-ups
- Controlling behaviour and domestic violence
Keynote speakers include:
Professor Paul E Mullen, internationally renowned expert on stalking behaviour from the Victoria Institute of Forensic Mental Health in Australia, will discuss the impact stalking has on its victims, management of offenders and the stalking of public figures.
Dr Douglas Boer, co- author of one of the most commonly used risk assessments for sex-offenders (SV-20) from University of Waikato, New Zealand will discuss 'The Current Status of Sexual Violence Risk Assessment'.
