The NHS wants your views on an online personal health information service called HealthSpace.

Electronic patient record systems such as HealthSpace have the potential to bring huge benefits to people with diabetes by improving the way healthcare teams work, and by giving people more control of their care.

However, issues around privacy and security mean the system must be right. By taking five minutes to fill in an online survey you can help the NHS understand what features will be important to people using this type of service.

Developing role for internet

"The role of computers and the internet in improving access to records for people with diabetes and their healthcare professionals is developing," said Gavin Terry, Healthcare Policy Manager at Diabetes UK.

"By telling the NHS how you would like electronic patient record systems to work, you will be helping to shape the future of how your healthcare information is stored and accessed."
