Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust is to host a national conference on combating infections.
The infection prevention team will look at various products assessed at Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne to tackle bugs.
The Trust is one of eight Showcase Hospitals within the UK currently evaluating the implementation of new technologies and equipment with the potential to fight Health Care Associated Infection (HCAI).
The event, which takes place at the Novotel hotel tomorrow today, will include talks from expert speakers who have been involved in the project and an exhibition of various companies.
Mary O'Leary, Showcase Hospitals project lead at SUHT, said: "We are very proud to be hosting this conference and hope it will prove useful in continuing to raise the profile of our fight against infection throughout the Trust."
The project is part of the HCAI Technology Innovation Programme supported by the Department of Health.
