BioOutsource is a strategic partner for several of the world's leading vaccine manufacturers. As such, BioOutsource is currently working with partners on projects to develop vaccines against Pandemic Influenza (Swine Flu and Avian Flu).

BioOutsource is a forward-thinking contract testing organisation which has been inspected and approved to GMP standard by the UK MHRA. The company has wide experience of testing and releasing virus vaccine, including Pandemic and Seasonal flu, and provides the release testing of vaccine lots to meet the European Pharmacopeia release guidelines. BioOutsource has expertise in the handling of vaccine harvests and neutralisation of the virus lots for testing.

In a relatively new innovation BioOutsource can offer an EP compliant alternative method to the lengthy and costly Mycoplasma test EP 2.6.1; PCR methodologies are used to detect mycoplasma, this can reduce the timelines for this test to 2 days rather than the 35 days this test would normally require and reduce costs by a factor of 4.
