During National Stroke Awareness Week, the Stroke Foundation will launch their new F.A.S.T. campaign, to help people recognise the early warning signs of stroke and act quickly.
A stroke can cause irreparable damage within minute or hours, making the need for a quick response imperative.
Tunstall Healthcare offers in home solutions to assist people at high risk or experiencing symptoms of a stroke to get help fast.
When installed in the home a Tunstall personal alarm allows the user to make quick and easy contact to Tunstall's 24 hour response where the response centre operator will organise the appropriate assistance such as an ambulance, carer or a neighbour to offer comfort while the ambulance is on route.
Triggered by a wireless radio pendent, the user can activate their personal alarm from anywhere in the home, such as the toilet, bath or shower, bed, garden and more.
With a powerful speaker and microphone the response centre operator will able to hear and speak with the user throughout their home.
If the user requires an ambulance, the response centre operator will conference call the ambulance in so they too can speak with them.
If an alarm is activated and the user can not be heard, the response centre operator will follow Tunstall's strict protocol to ensure the matter is treated seriously and assistance is arranged.
Tunstall's personal alarms allow people at risk of stroke to manage their condition and maintain their independence in the home, knowing help is available if and when they need it.
