William Ford-Young ,Royal College of GPs sexual health spokesperson, said:

RCGP welcomes govt campaign on sexual health

"We are delighted that the Government is finally putting their money where their mouth is, sexual health services in primary care, has been the poor relation of the health service for far too long.

We hope that the extra funding will be used to provide much needed training and resources for sexual health screening and treatment.

However, we are concerned that the Government is launching this campaign before these resources are in place in general practice"
