Ambulance Service Network Director Liz Kendall comments on new figures showing 84 per cent of the public recall the Act FAST stroke camapign.
Commenting on the results of the YouGov polling on public awareness of the F.A.S.T. anti-stroke campaign, Ambulance Service Network Director Liz Kendall said:
"One person every five minutes will suffer from a stroke in the UK and the quicker you act, the more chance you have of surviving and making a good recovery.
"The findings of this polling are really encouraging and all ambulance services support the Act F.A.S.T. campaign as part of their commitment to offering better, faster care for patients.
"Ambulance services are making huge efforts to improve stroke care, not only by getting to more patients faster than ever before but also through better skills for paramedics and running public health drives such as taking people's blood pressure.
"By working together with organisations like the Stroke Association, we can help make a real difference to patients up and down the country."
