Alarming trends captured in clinical study metrics show the glaring discrepancy between the miniscule number of sites that are able to enroll the amount of patients study sponsors are requesting and the amount of sites that cannot. This enrollment inability leads to trial stoppages, lost revenue and most importantly the delay of new treatments used to combat diseases that are available for the population. The clinical trial budgeting and contracting process between sponsors/CROs and sites has shown to play a major role in this overall inefficiency. Sites have become weary of reimbursement practices and contract negotiation techniques. Trial sponsors have limited options due to saturation for viable research sites and continual delays due to underperformance.

The Global Clinical Budgeting & Contracting Excellence Conference will feature talks on best practices currently being used by sponsors, CROs and sites to consummate site agreements quickly, establish long-term strategic partnerships, and meet the goal of conducting research in a timely fashion.
