Imagine a toothbrush so much fun to use that kids would brush their teeth without a single reminder from Mom or Dad. Dr. Fresh is asking second through fifth graders across the U.S. to dream up just such a toothbrush with the "Be A Dental Inventor" contest - the fourth annual toothbrush design contest celebrating National Children's Dental Health Month this February 2010. http://www.drfresh.com
Dr. Fresh, the Buena Park, California-based company known for its bright and sparkly FireFly™ toothbrushes that light up and flash to encourage thorough brushing, is challenging kids to come up with the ultimate kid-friendly toothbrush, one that is not only easy, but fun to use.
Kids in second through fifth grades are asked to invent, design, and submit a drawing of their fantasy toothbrush and explain why they think it will appeal to other kids.
The first prize winner and a parent or guardian will receive a trip to Buena Park, California, where they will visit the Dr. Fresh headquarters, as well as enjoy a day at the nearby Disneyland Resort. The winner will also receive a $500 U.S. Savings Bond, while two runners up will each receive a $250 U.S. Savings Bond. Contest entrants will all receive a complimentary FireFly toothbrush.
To enter, children must submit an original drawing of their toothbrush design, accompanied with a brief written description (100 words or less) on why they think kids would like to use their toothbrush. All media - paints, crayons, chalk, pencils, markers - accepted. Judges will be looking for originality, creativity and motivational appeal. No licensed (e.g. cartoon) characters may be used, and all work must be the entrant's own. No purchase necessary. Entries must be accompanied by an official contest entry form or reasonable facsimile thereof. Contest entries can be mailed to Hazmat Media (Attn: Dental Inventor, 120 N. Robertson Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048) and must be postmarked by January 24, 2010. For complete contest guidelines and to download an official entry form, please visit http://www.drfresh.com or http://www.firefly.us.com. All entries become the property of Dr. Fresh and will not be returned.
