Wendy Harris, Deputy Registrar and Director of Regulation at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB), will be leaving in mid-March to take up a new position as Transitional Director of Policy at the Office of the Health Professions Adjudicator (OHPA).
Jeremy Holmes, RPSGB Chief Executive and Registrar, said:
"Since joining the Society in June 2008 Wendy has made an enormous contribution to pharmacy regulation. Under her leadership the Society's regulatory function has been substantially reorganised and has performed extremely effectively, as evidenced by our annual CHRE reviews of which she can be justifiably proud. She has also prepared the ground well for the transfer of our regulatory functions to the new General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). I can think of no-one better to take OHPA forward and we wish her the greatest success in her new role."
Duncan Rudkin, CEO Designate of the GPhC, said:
"Wendy's contribution to pharmacy regulation and the transition towards GPhC regulation has been tremendous. She has developed a strong regulatory team with whom I look forward to working. OHPA's gain is our loss. I wish Wendy very well in her new role."
