A Defence chartered Antonov 124 will land at Sydney International Airport this afternoon, load overnight and depart tomorrow (Monday 3 Jan 05).

What: Opportunity to cover loading of Army Hospital Equipment deploying to Sumatra as part of the Australian contribution to the Disaster Relief Effort.

Where: Patricks Freight Services, Link Road, Sydney International Airport.

When: 16:30 - aircraft landing Sydney International Airport and taxi to Patricks area. Vision can be captured from boundary fence line.

When: 17:15 - aircraft loading. See media note below.

Who: No talking head available - vision only.

Media Note:

Media are asked to meet airport staff and LTCOL Steve Delaney (0411 445 136) at Patricks Freight Services at 17:00-17:15 for issue of media passes. Photo identification is required.



Airport requirements have restricted access to aircraft loading from 17:15 to 18:15. This is a vision only opportunity, and should augment material already captured of hospital staff deployed from RAAF Richmond today.
