The girl who two weeks ago was reported to have contracted bird flu in Viet Nam has died, say authorities.
Health officials say a another patient, an 18 year old woman, has been infected with the H5N1 strain.
This new patient had been in the same hospital as the 16 year old girl who died.
So far, 23 humans have died of bird flu (avian flu) in Viet Nam since 2003.
What are the symptoms of Bird Flu?
The symptoms of bird flu are an acute respiratory illness characterised by fever (temperature greater than 38 degrees C) and cough and/or sore throat.
To have suspected bird flu you will have visited a poultry farm or wet market (market with live poultry) in a country known to have had an outbreak.
