'Future Vision 2005' to feature innovation in endoscopy

ASGE summit, March 10-11, Rancho Mirage, CA, USA -

Innovation, research and emerging endoscopic techniques are some of the topics that will be discussed at "Future Vision 2005," hosted by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), March 10-11, at the Annenberg Center for Health Services at Eisenhower in Rancho Mirage, CA.

The day-and-a- half Summit on Innovation in Endoscopy will feature a chance for interactive dialogue with academicians, government representatives, healthcare leaders, industry suppliers, researchers, and venture capitalists.

The ASGE President, David J. Bjorkman, MD, MSPH, SM (Epid), Dean of the University of Utah School of Medicine, stated, "The ASGE is very pleased to be hosting our first national interactive Summit. The line-up of outstanding speakers and topics will be thought provoking; the format allowing for ample audience dialogue will be stimulating; and the location will be both enticing and energizing."

Speakers representing industry, government and healthcare will examine the gastrointestinal specialty of endoscopy from the perspectives of its impact on patient outcomes today, the emerging clinical techniques of tomorrow, and the exciting future of the field in both technology changes and better patient care.

Harvard Business School Professor Clayton Christensen, DBA MBA, will be the keynote speaker on the topic of the "Disruptive Forces in the Future of Healthcare." His consulting firm, Innosight, has helped hundreds of organizations develop new strategies in the face of "disruptive innovations."
