I am writing regarding my fathers macular degeneration. He has wet in one eye and dry in the other. He is 85 years old, very active in his lifelong business of construction. It is imperative that he have his eyesight to read plans, etc. He has seen two eye docs, one who believed due to his perfect health that he would be a viable candidate for trial meds and one who discouraged him from further seeking same. Is there a certain criteria for candidates for clinical trials? It would be the gift of a lifetime for certain to regain even some measure of his sight back. He has adequate vision in one eye and they seem to have halted the progression however the other eye is degerating quickly. Please advise.
sincerely, Karen Reese
