The American Academy of Ophthalmology (Academy) announced the appointment of Tony McClellan as president of its Foundation Advisory Board (FAB).
In his role, Mr. McClellan will work with the Academy leadership to ensure that the FAB and the Foundation's fundraising program provide the philanthropic support necessary to advance the mission of the Academy. The FAB's mission is to support priority education, quality of care research and public service programs of the Academy, which ensure that the public can obtain the best possible eye care.
"Through their commitment and generosity to help prevent avoidable blindness and severe visual impairment worldwide, members of the FAB provide the leadership and example that inspires many others to philanthropically support our efforts," said David W.
